Thermal
Rugs

Polojo
horse rugs are designed on the ever-durable design of
the New Zealand rug. The ripstop canvas is waterproof
and breathable leaving your horse dry from both rain
and sweat. The back straps which cross over between
the horses back legs allow your horse full movement
out in the paddock and in the stables, without the rug
slipping or sliding out of place.

The
inner layer of lightweight thermal fleece keeps the heat
in and cold out, allowing horses in the coldest conditions
to stay warm.
Every
rug comes standard with a tail guard, shoulder gussets
and an attached neckpiece for extra comfort and better
fit. The neckpiece prevents heat loss through the horse's
large neck surface. It also prevents uneven sun bleaching
and uneven hair regrowth. Having the neckpiece attached
creates easy application, while avoiding loss or theft.
Polojo
rugs are available with leather or webbing back straps,
while all neckpieces come standard with leather straps.
The rugs are also available with cotton inners or no
inners to be used as a day sheet or summer rug.

Rugs must always be applied correctly to avoid injury
to your horse or damage to your rug. The back straps
must be crossed over between the horses back legs,
however the left strap attaches to
the left ring and the right
strap to the right ring. When putting
a rug on, one must always start from the back and
move towards the front, this prevents accidents,
where horses take off and the rug falls between
their front legs (only being attached around the
horses neck) destroying the rug and putting the
horse in danger. |

By
doing the back up first, if the horse takes off,
the rug simply slides off its back with no danger
to the horse or the rug. The opposite applies to
taking the rug off, always start from the front
and move towards the back. |
